As a business entity with responsibility to the society and the environment, Intiland is fully aware of the need to create harmonious relationship with the community, as well as formulating and executing programs related to the improvement of people’s living.
The existence of a company in a community must bring about benefit to its surroundings or environment. As a business entity with responsibility to the society and the environment, Intiland is fully aware of the need to create harmonious relationship with the community, as well as formulating and executing programs related to the improvement of people’s living.
The Company held a series of community development program throughout 2014, of corporate level or project level. Representing the concept of community development, especially around the project’s operations and development, Intiland opts for recruiting local workers as a way to empower the community. Some examples of these are in Serenia Hills residential area in Lebak Bulus, and Talaga Bestari in Cikupa, Aeropolis, Tangerang.
Since 2014 Serenia Hills has been providing security skill training and education for the people living around the Company’s projects who have been recruited as security personnel. Most of the security personnel of Serenia Hills residential area come from the surrounding area under the employment of a professional security service agency appointed by the company. Serenia Hills has worked together with the local community to manage waste.
Intiland also participates in the construction of integrated child-friendly public space (RPTRA) with Jakarta Provincial government. The Company is highly committed to the program, going further than just providing the physical park; the Company also helps with the empowerment of the community living in the surrounding area. Intiland is so far involved in the construction of three RPTRA around Jakarta. The first finished RPTRA is located in Karet Tengsin, Central Jakarta, it was officially opened by Jakarta Governor, Basuki T. Purnama on 30 December 2015. The community development program at RPTRA Karet Tengsin started in February 2016.
The Company’s participation in the development of RPTRA is part of Intiland Teduh, another awareness action program aimed at improving the quality of the people’s lives. Another activity of Intiland Teduh program is house rent assistance to 240 families living in government-managed rented flats (Rusunawa) in Pesakih, Marunda and Pinus Elok for three months. For this activity, the Company collaborated with Indonesia Real Estate Association (REI) through Ramadhan Rumah Impian program.
The Company is also routinely involved in community services, with its projects in Jakarta and Surabaya. Some of these community service-related aid programs held in 2015 among others are construction and repairing roads, mosque renovation, blood donation, and construction of a community center in Ngoro, Mojokerto. The Company also renovated the Segitiga Park in Kebayoran, South Jakarta.
Still part of Intiland Teduh program, the Company established Intesa School of Hospitality in Yogyakarta. Since its establishment in 2013, Intesa has produced 73 graduates, and they are currently professionals in their field. The program is close related to the improvement of the people’s education, especially the locals.
