Surabaya (15/10) – Golf Graha Famili (GGF), recognized as one of the finest golf facilities in the city of Surabaya, hosted a golf tournament themed “Journey of Devotion”. The tournament, held to celebrate the 27th anniversary of Golf Graha Famili, took place over two days on October 15-16, 2022.
Simon J. Wirawan, the director of Intiland’s Surabaya property, described this year’s celebration as a special moment marking a turning point after two challenging years due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The selection of the theme “Journey of Devotion” signifies Graha Golf Famili’s commitment over its 27-year history of accompanying and partnering with golfers and loyal members who have played at Golf Graha Famili.
“This celebration is our expression of appreciation to the players and members. We hope all participants play with enjoyment, skill, and sportsmanship. We trust this tournament will serve as a catalyst for the motivation of players and golf enthusiasts to collectively advance golf in Indonesia,” said Simon J. Wirawan following the tournament’s opening ceremony at Golf Graha Famili Surabaya on Saturday (15/10).
The Journey of Devotion golf tournament attracted 360 golfers from Surabaya, various cities in East Java, and Jakarta. Several players from outside Java, such as Kalimantan and Bali, also participated in the tournament.
Simon J. Wirawan explained that the tournament organizers limited the number of participants to ensure player comfort throughout the competition. The tournament was divided into three shotgun starts: one on Saturday, October 15, 2022, and two on Sunday, October 16, 2022.
The pinnacle of this celebration will be the gala dinner on Sunday evening, October 16, 2022. It will feature various entertainment performances and dinner offerings. In addition to announcing the tournament winners, the gala dinner will also include prize distribution for tournament winners or lucky draw winners.

For this year’s golf tournament, the organizers have prepared various attractive prizes, including prizes for tournament winners, grand prizes, and consolation prizes. The tournament offers main prizes consisting of cash prizes of Rp100 million, Rp50 million, Rp25 million, and a total of 30 grams of gold, as well as Hole-In-One prizes worth more than three billion Rupiah.
“The gala dinner serves as the pinnacle of celebration and our appreciation night for the golf players and members. This activity provides an opportunity for golfers to meet, foster camaraderie, and build networks,” further expressed Simon.
