Regatta Commences Phase II of Development
Jakarta – Regatta , an iconic residential hub at Mutiara Beach, North Jakarta, started the second phase of its development with the groundbreaking ceremony held on Thursday, June 12, 2014. The second phase of the development will include the construction of three apartment towers: London, New York and Shanghai. The development is the company’s response to the high demand from consumers for ocean-theme apartment.
Regatta apartment is developed by Mutiara Buana Cooperation Agency or Badan Kerjasama Mutiara Buana (BKMB). BKMB is a joint corporation between Indonesia’s leading developer, PT Intiland Development Tbk and PT Global Ekabuana, a hospitality company with extensive portfolio. The two companies share 50 percent participation in the enterprise.
Director of BKMB, Suhendro Prabowo, who is also vice president of PT Intiland Development Tbk., said the second phase of the development of Regatta followed the success of the first phase of Regatta development. Of the total 11 hectares of land, the second phase development will cover an area of 16,921 square meters. The new towers will be located in an area overlooking the breathtaking view of Java Sea.
“The second phase development will reinforce Regatta’s position as the best and only apartment in Indonesia surrounded by the sea. Regatta has also won an international award, FIABCI Prix d’Excellence Awards, as one of the world’s best apartments,” said Suhendro.
Optimizing the added value of its position, as well as its location, all units in Regatta II are designed with the sea view. Another added value is a balcony of 3 by 1.5 square meters at each apartment unit. The wide balcony provides the tenants extensive view to the open sea.
Suhendro explained the three apartment towers, London, New York and Shanghai, will have 24 floors. Each tower is to have 184 apartment units, with two bedrooms or three bedrooms and an area between 115 and 163 square meters.
The apartment units at Regatta phase II are to be marketed with competitive price. The prices will start from Rp 2.7 billion or about Rp 21-22 million per square meter. A number of plans for development will also boost the value of the apartment.
Regatta phase II will maintain its iconic design, adopting the shape of a sailboat. The design is applied with the use of materials that support the comfort of the tenants, such as the use of the type of glass that can decrease the heat radiation in the rooms. And also to improve comfort, the developer adds separating walls underneath the glasses facing the outer area of the apartment unit.
The company also maintains several leading features, such as the ground floor area free from vehicles to create more private environment. The whole ground floor area is optimized with facilities, such as swimming pool, park, barbecue area, and playground. Drop off area for vehicles is located at the parking area on the lower ground floor. Another feature is the design of the interior lobby designed based on the theme of each tower.
Regatta development area is located in a vastly growing area with a very big potential for further development. The prospect is also supported by the fast growth enjoyed by Pluit area to become business and lifestyle hub for the people in North Jakarta.
“We believe this direction for the development of the area will continually reinforce Regatta’s potential, either as an integrated residential facility or as investment. Regatta is very strategically located, has a very impressive sea view and an easy access to international airport. It is close to business centers and schools, as well as to modern shopping malls,” Suhendro added.
At present, Regatta has completed the development of phase I comprising of four apartment towers. The next stage is the completion of phase II of the development, which includes three apartment towers and a hotel.
